At the southern end of Da Nang's long beach, where the sand runs up to the foot of the Marble Mountains, sits the resort that helped put this stretch of coast on the luxury map. Hyatt Regency Danang Resort and Spa opened in 2011 as one of the first big international branded resorts on Non Nuoc Beach — and more than a decade on, it's still one of the largest.
What it is
A 49-acre beachfront property at 5 Truong Sa, in Da Nang's Ngu Hanh Son district. The resort spans 199 rooms and suites, 145 one-to-three-bedroom residences, and 23 three-bedroom pool villas, laid out across landscaped grounds, lily-pond courtyards, and five separate pools that step down toward the sand. It was developed by Indochina Land and is managed by Hyatt.
The setting
This is the quieter, more residential end of the city's coastline — south of the My Khe crowds, with the Marble Mountains rising right behind the property and a long, clean beach out front. Rooms and villas are built to face the water: floor-to-ceiling glass, ocean-view balconies, and in the villas, freestanding tubs set against the sea. The design leans on Vietnamese craft — local timber, woven lantern lighting, stone and ceramic detailing — rather than generic resort gloss.
Eat, swim, unwind
The food and beverage lineup was recently refreshed: Xanh House for Vietnamese cooking and Da Nang seafood by the main pool, Osteria al Mare for all-day Italian, ICE Galleria for coffee, bingsu and ice cream off the lobby, and Terrasse Lounge for sunset cocktails and jazz nights. Vie Spa handles the wellness side. The five pools split by audience — beach pool, garden pool, fitness pool, the Regency Club pool, and a family pool over in the residences.
Why it matters
The Hyatt Regency is a useful anchor for understanding Da Nang's coast. Where the InterContinental claimed the dramatic cliffs of Son Tra to the north, the Hyatt took the flat, walkable beachfront to the south and built at scale — hotel, residences, and villas in one complex.
